Grandparents Day is almost upon us. This is an important day in our school calendar as we recognise the importance of Grandparents and Special Persons in our student’s lives. On Friday 26th July we invite all Grandparents and Special Persons to our school to share in celebrating mass followed by a short activity in your child’s classroom and then a shared morning tea.
The day will run as follows:
- 9.05 a.m. The whole school will go to the church to celebrate a special Mass. Mass will start at 9.15 a.m. Children will sit with their grandparents/special person during the mass. After mass children will return to their classroom with their grandparent/special person.
- Approx. 10.30 a.m. Your child’s grandparent/special person/s are invited into the classroom where there will be an opportunity for them to be involved in a short activity with the children. If they are here to visit more than one child they can move from one class to the other during this time.
- 10.55 a.m. The children will share morning tea with their grandparent/special person/s. Could parents please provide enough morning tea for their child/children to share with their grandparent/special person/s. Children will be with their siblings to eat morning tea.
11.05 a.m. The children will say goodbye to their grandparent/special person/s and go out to play.
